Boundless Empathy as Parents
Should That Be the Expectation?
No role has challenged my empathy quite like being a parent.
Not being a woman. Not being an entrepreneur. Not being a wife or even a friend.
Parenthood has forced me to confront empathy in ways I never expected because children arrive here through our decisions, conscious or otherwise, but once they are here, they become their own people. And when they become adults, the relationship between empathy and boundaries becomes deeply complicated.
